Viral Tests for COVID-19 Detection
Viral tests are used to detect current infections with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Relative to other detection methods, Real-Time PCR enables sensitive and specific detection of the SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA from clinical samples.
COVID-19 Test Results
The result of your COVID-19 diagnostic test can be either positive or negative.
A positive result indicates that you have an infection with the virus.
